Privacy policy

In short: without your consent, CBELIER sets no cookies and loads no audience measurement tool; with your consent, audience measurement takes place (see below). No advertising. Your network models are not stored on the server: they are used for the calculation, then deleted. We keep only what is needed for the account, the credits, invoicing and support.

Data controller

Online account

• Data: e-mail address, password, dates of creation, confirmation and last sign-in. The password is stored in hashed form by the authentication service; ALFA WAMANE never has access to it.
• Purpose: to identify you, keep your credit balance and send you the e-mails related to the account (address confirmation) and to your purchases. No marketing, no newsletter.
• Sending of e-mails: by the Brevo service (technical provider), from the address noreply@alfawamane.ma.
• Retention: as long as the account exists. You can ask for its deletion at any time by e-mail.

Office profile and preferences

• Data: company name, address, contact, names of the author, checker and approver, logo (header of the technical report); display units and decimal places.
• Where: in the browser of your computer and, with an online account, linked to your account so that you find them on another computer. They are deleted from the browser when you sign out. No project or result is attached to them.

Credits, studies and payments

• Credits and studies: balance, credit movements, open studies (network size in number of pipes, complexity class, credits, dates).
• PayPal or bank card: the payment is entered at PayPal. CBELIER never receives your card details or your PayPal credentials; it keeps the order number, the pack, the number of credits, the amount, the currency and the status.
• Bank transfer: reference, e-mail address of the account, pack, amounts excluding tax, VAT and including all taxes, status and dates.
• Retention: payment data are accounting records, kept for the legal retention period for accounting documents in Morocco (10 years).

Purchase of the CBELIER books

• Order: reference, option (public price, student / teacher price, book offered with a pack, Payhip purchase), payment method, amounts, billing name, versions of the terms of sale and of the licence accepted and date of acceptance, status and dates.
• Invoice: number, amounts excluding tax, VAT and including all taxes, billing name and e-mail address of the customer, publisher details.
• Personalised copy: each copy downloaded bears your name, your e-mail address, the order reference, the date and a copy identifier, to protect the work against unauthorised distribution.
• Download log: copy identifier, version, date and beginning of the IP address (first two numbers, for example 196.12.x.x; never the full address). It is used to limit the number of downloads and to trace the origin of a copy distributed without authorisation.
• Student / teacher price: name of the institution, institutional e-mail address and decision. No supporting document is requested or kept.
• Purchase on Payhip: Payhip (Payhip Ltd, United Kingdom) sends us the transaction identifier, the buyer’s e-mail address, the product, the amount and the currency, to link the purchase to the CBELIER account with the same e-mail address (right to the book and trial credits). The payment and the invoice for this purchase are the responsibility of Payhip.
• E-mails related to the purchase: confirmation with the invoice, decision on the student price request, announcement of a new version of the book purchased; sent by Brevo from the address noreply@alfawamane.ma. No marketing.
• Retention: orders and invoices are accounting records, kept for the legal period (10 years); the download log and the student price request, as long as the account exists.

Calculation data

• Model sent to the server: network, longitudinal profiles, devices, operating laws and scenarios. It is sent only to perform the calculation, processed in memory, and not stored. The result stays in memory for at most 24 hours after the end of the calculation so that the application can retrieve it, then it is deleted.
• Imported files (EPANET, pipe-laying “calage” files): converted by the server then returned to the application, without being kept.
• Your projects are saved in files on your computer (File › Save). The current project may be kept temporarily in the browser, for example during a PayPal payment, to be restored on return.
• Calculation log: for each calculation, the identifier, the label entered, the type of calculation, the size of the model (number of nodes and links), the simulated duration, the extreme heads and pressures, the presence of cavitation, the duration and cost of the calculation, the credits debited and any error message. For each technical report produced: the reference, the names of the office, the project and the scenario, and the complexity class, without the content of the report.
• Purpose of the log: invoicing of studies, support, security and improvement of the engine’s reliability. It is kept as long as the account exists.

Browser storage and cookies

The application stores in your browser’s local storage what it needs to work: the sign-in session, any API key, the office profile, display preferences, the theme, the calculation location and the panel layout. No third party reads these items. Signing out deletes the session and the profile.

Only one cookie is set without consent, because it is needed to respect your choice: aw-consentement (accepted or declined, 6 months), shared by the ALFA WAMANE sites: alfawamane.ma, AirCalc and CBELIER.

Audience measurement (with your consent)

• Tools: Google Analytics and LinkedIn Insight Tag.
• Purpose: to know how CBELIER is used (pages viewed, origin, country, type of device) and, for LinkedIn, aggregated and anonymous professional statistics (industry, job function, company size). No advertising is shown.
• Never sent to these tools: your e-mail address, your name, your network models, scenarios and results, address confirmation links, or payment references. The administration page is not measured.
• Legal basis: your consent, given with the “Accept” button of the banner. Without this click, none of these tools is loaded.
• Scope: your choice applies to all the ALFA WAMANE sites (alfawamane.ma, AirCalc and CBELIER), which share the same audience measurement.
• Data and cookies: technical identifiers set by these tools on the alfawamane.ma domain (for example _ga for Google), pages viewed, origin, information about the browser and the device, approximate location (country, city) derived from the IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; LinkedIn receives the IP address and also uses its own cookies. These data are processed by Google and LinkedIn, including outside Morocco, under their own policies.
• Duration: your choice is remembered for 6 months; statistics are kept for at most 14 months.
• Withdrawing your consent: at any time with Manage cookies (at the bottom of this page; in the application: Help › Privacy); the measurement cookies set on alfawamane.ma are then deleted and no more data are sent. The cookies that LinkedIn sets on its own domain (linkedin.com) cannot be deleted by CBELIER: you can delete them from your browser.

Recipients and providers

• ALFA WAMANE: only its administrators access the accounts, balances and logs, for credit management, invoicing and support.
• Technical providers: Railway (server hosting, Netherlands), Supabase (accounts and database, France), Brevo (e-mails), PayPal (payments), Payhip (sale of the book on payhip.com) and Google (ALFA WAMANE’s e-mail service, for your exchanges by e-mail). Some are established outside Morocco; they process the data under their own policies and only for the service provided.
• No data are sold or transferred to third parties. No data are used for advertising purposes.

Security

Exchanges are encrypted (HTTPS). The calculation engine and the secret keys stay on the server; API keys are stored in hashed form; each account can read only its own data.

Your rights

In accordance with Moroccan law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have a right of access, rectification and objection, and you can ask for your account to be deleted, by e-mail to alfawamane@gmail.com. Payment data remain kept for the legal period. You can also refer the matter to the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP).
